Thoughts

What we think affects us both physically and spiritually.

Our thoughts are the most important aspect of each of us. They make us who we are, every day, our whole life. What we think when we wake up until we lay our heads down at night, can impact our day as well as everyone around us.

Think about what your first thought is in the morning. Do you wake up feeling grateful for all that you have, ready to tackle the day? Or do you wake up feeling down and not ready to face the day and wanting to crawl back into bed and cover your head?

How do you visualize your day ahead? Do you think it is not going to be a good day or do you feel that it could be another amazing day, regardless of what you are going to do? Starting your day off with gratitude can make the difference in how you feel.

Change Your Thoughts

The hardest thing someone can do is change how they think. Habits are hard to break. It takes time, patience and a lot of perseverance.

It is constantly reminding yourself of the new way to think, whether you have a physical reminder like a bracelet or piece of paper in your wallet that you read a few times a day or just thinking about your new attitude or visualize how you see yourself.

Day by day, you can make small changes that down the road will make a huge impact on your life, how you think and more importantly, how you feel.

Like all the habits you have gained in the past, eventually, your mind gets that you are thinking differently and it will starts to think that way, all on its own.
Exercises

There are mantras you can repeat during the day, out loud or to yourself. If you have always been down on yourself, you can write something down that is opposite to that and repeat often.

Change the "I can't do that" to "I can do it" or if that is too drastic for you, start slow and think, "I will try that."

It is a foreign concept to your mind but like all habits, saying it enough times, your mind starts to believe it and you have a new outlook and thought process.

Another exercise is done when you wake up. Before you get out of bed, lie still and visualize your day the way you want it to be. If you have time to go into details, do so. That exercise can make a big difference in your day and help you be more positive and happy.
